Former India captain Virat Kohli says he regrets not meeting legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. Mangeshkar, considered one of the greatest singers of all time, died in February 2022 at the age of 92. Lata Mangeshkar is an avid Indian cricket fan. In 1983, she had a concert for the BCCI to raise enough funding for the board to reward the Indian team, world champions of 83 led by Kapil Dev were helpful.
In a video shared on his official Twitter profile titled “I am with Virat.”, Kohli was asked which historical female figure he would like to take to dinner, and Kohli named great Lata Mangeshkar.
“I didn’t get the chance to meet Lata ji, so I thought it would be great to have a chat and learn a little more about her life and her journey,” Kohli said. The other historical figure on Kohli’s wish list is a legendary American boxer, Muhammad Ali. Ali was also the person Kohli chose to be stranded on the island in a fictional situation. One of the healthiest cricketers in the world, Kohli is also known for raising the fitness standards for his team in India. It also revealed that his record plank time is three-and-a-half minutes.
Additionally, Kohli confided the advice he would like to give his 16-year-old self.
He said: “Learn a little more about the world, be a little more open-minded. There is life outside of Delhi, too.” Kohli was recently spotted playing against New Zealand in the ODI series and was resting for T20Is. He will resume his activities for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy from February 2023 to his March. India will host Australia for four tests starting February 9th in Nagpur.
The team will travel to Delhi for the second test (17-21 February), followed by Dharamsala (3rd test, 1-5 March) and Ahmedabad (4th test, March 9-13).
