An exciting football match featuring celebrities from Maldives and India took place on Friday at the Garol National Stadium in Male’.
Staged as part of a tournament, the match featured actors, models, and more, divided into two teams. Rock star and superstar.
The referee was Maldivian comedian Hussein Shadu (Mattie).
Stars such as Indian actors Aftab Shivdasani, Rohit Roy, Anoop Singh, Sherman Joshi, and Maldivian actors Yusuf Shafee (Yoop), Ali Shizan, and Jadurah Ismail (Jadu) were in attendance.
The game is being promoted by University Minister Dr. Ibrahim Hassan and India’s High Commissioner Munu Mahawar. Indian actress Urvashi Rautela also attended the game. She was a special guest for the
Featuring Yooppe, Aftab, and Jaadhu, the Superstars beat the Rockstars with him 14-11.
The tournament is organized by Anyelp, India. Carnival takes place on January 29th, followed by a celebrity football match.
The tournament will be the first international celebrity event from the Maldives and India to be held in the Maldives. According to Anyelp, the main purpose of the Tournival is to share the experiences of both countries film industries and culture.
