Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty of India made history on Sunday by capturing the country’s first-ever gold medal in men’s doubles at the Indonesia Open.

It is also India’s first gold medal in any doubles event at the Indonesia Open. The pair won the final by defeating Malaysian world champions Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik 21-17, 21-18.
