When the four-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a league match of the 2023 season, it was Dhoni’s men who prevailed. However, a comment from Dhoni after the game ended left fans concerned. While it’s not yet known if this will be Dhoni’s final season as a player in the IPL, ‘Thala’ certainly offers small hints. Every season that the IPL begins, fans and pundits wonder if this would be the last time they would see Dhoni as a player in the CSK shirt.

After admitting a few days ago that this was the “final phase of his career”, Dhoni made a “farewell” comment after the KKR game. “I simply thank you for the support, it came in large numbers.
