Rishabh Pant Ruled Out of Asia Cup & 2023 ODI World Cup Owing to Injuries and Slow Recovery

There was some bad news for team India as batter-wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the Asia Cup & 2023 ODI World Cup due to the injuries he sustained during the unfortunate car accident he was involved in, at the end of December.

Pant was recently seen at the Delhi Capitals IPL match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi with the help of crutches. Pant was admitted to Max Hospital in Dehradun & was later transferred to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute in Mumbai, with inputs from the BCCI medical staff as well, particularly pertaining to the multiple ligament tears in his knee.

Pant is showing a lot of determination to return to action and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is extending all possible medical assistance. The BCCI previously said, It will make every effort to aid and expedite the recovery process of Rishabh and will provide him with all the support he needs during this period. Additionally, the 25-year-old cricketer will appear as a batsman until he is fully fit to take up wicketkeeping gloves again.
