R Ashwin grabs No.1 ICC Ranking in bowling, Virat gets up in Batting

India’s spinner Ravichandran Ashwin surpasses James Anderson in the ICC rankings for the top bowler’s position. Ashwin bagged an aggregate of 25 wickets in the Border- Gavaskar trophy. He sits at the top with 869 standing points while Anderson is second, 10 standing points behind the Indian off-spinner.

Former India captain Virat Kohli also made big earnings in the Test rankings for batters, jumping an aggregate of seven places to find himself at the 13th spot on the maps.

Ashwin has been an ever-harmonious player for India in test cricket. Kohli ended his 1205-day failure without a Test ton to reach the triadic-  number score in the drawn Ahmedabad Test against Australia. He scored 186 runs in the first innings but missed out on a double-hundred. Kohli is nearby teammates Rishabh Pant(ninth), and Rohit Sharma(10th) as the only Indian batters ahead of him on the Test batsman
