The Impact Rule has come from the domestic cricket tournament of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The new “Impact Player” rule in IPL 2023 will allow one substitute per team to participate more actively in a game. We may choose a striker from the five substitutes that the captain will nominate at the draw. The player that had been replaced with an “Impact Player” can no longer compete in the game.
