Pakistan team’s captain Babar Azam picked Big Bash League(BBL) over IPL as his favorite event rather than the cash-rich Indian Premier League(IPL). Babar, who’s presently playing for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League(PSL) 2023, made his choice while speaking on Zalmi TV. As per the Zalmi skipper, batsmen get to learn a lot by playing on fast and bouncy pitches on Australian soil. Babar said that in IPL, the conditions will be alike to those in Pakistan. “The conditions over there in Australia are different. The pitches in Australia are fast and you learn there a lot. While in IPL, you catch similar Asian conditions,” Babar quoted.
Former Indian player Harbhajan Singh, in the meantime, has responded to Babar’s comment. The performer, who’s presently taking part in the Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2023, just put an emoticon to express his views.
Babar has been in miraculous form of late after he chased his lovable T20 hundred in the league match against Sarfaraz Ahmed’s Quetta pugilists. He missed out on Zalmi’s league fixture against Islamabad United but turned back for Eliminator 1 against the same challenger.
Babar Azam also became the fastest batter to score 9000 runs in T20s in the match on Thursday, March 16 at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. He got to the corner in 245 innings, breaking Chris Gayle‘s record of 249 innings.
As far as Harbhajan is concerned, he’s the common-loftiest gate-taker in the LLC and is playing for the India Maharajas, who’ll play the LLC Eliminator 2 against Shahid Afridi’s Asia Lions on March 18.
