One fan commented on her post, “You are fire, and hats off to your courage for choosing a character beyond the usual roles taken up by actresses.” Another remarked, “Absolutely gorgeous!!!” Yet another fan exclaimed, “Cannot wait for this one!”
In a statement about her portrayal of Shreegauri Sawant, Sushmita Sen expressed, “When I was first approached for Taali, it was an instant yes in my mind. However, I took six and a half months to officially come on board. I wanted to be thoroughly prepared, well-read and researched to take up such a critical and significant responsibility. Shreegauri Sawant is an admirable human being, and I resonate with her on many levels. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to live through her incredible life in this series. The path to inclusivity is long, but I believe Taali will be a driving force in spearheading this shift in consciousness.”
