Pace bowler Mohammad Shami has returned to India after undergoing a successful heel surgery to repair his Achilles tendon in the United Kingdom (UK).
Shami required surgery to repair his Achilles tendon after he injured it during India’s 2023 World ODI campaign and has not featured in cricket since the final defeat against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19.
Shami shared a picture on his social media, announcing that he has returned
to India from the UK and thanked the fans for their support.“I am glad that I came back to India after the work. I feel strong and ready to embrace the next chapter. Thank you for your support and love!” Shami shared on Instagram.
Mohammad Shami missed the home T20 series against Australia, as well as South Africa’s tour of the five-match Test series against England.
