Miss Beatriz Haddad made history On Monday, Maia became the first Brazilian woman to join the top ten of the Women’s Tennis Association ( WTA ) rankings.
Maia, who will enter the grass-court season ranked number 10, upset Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur in the last eight of the French Open to become the first Brazilian woman to reach a Grand Slam semi-final in 55 years.
