IPL 2023 Auction: List of Overseas Players Who Can Start A Bidding War
The auction for IPL 2023 is set to take place in Kochi on Friday, with some of the biggest international players competing. Some IPL teams have decided to release certain players who are back in the auction mix. Among the signed players are some exciting new names joining the auction for the first time. Here are some of the players that we think could start a bidding war between franchises.
Cameron Greene (Australia):
An exciting talent from Down Under who could make big money based on his big-hit potential and medium-paced bowling skills. Cameron Green is still quite the greenhorn in international and domestic cricket, but has already done enough in the Australian shirt and has sparked interest from many teams.
Rilee Rossouw (South African): Rilee Rossouw has blasted through the heat and cold in international cricket, but has some serious batting ability and can beat opponents. I’ve seen people make a lot of money at auctions. Riley was supposed to laugh on his way to the bench on Friday.
Ben Stokes (England):
Ben Stokes is England’s Test captain. He is a very good player in White ball cricket and proved it earlier this year when he led England to their second T20 World Cup title. Stokes’ abilities as an all-rounder are well known and he will be more than an asset to IPL team, with Stokes scoring 920 runs in 43 games and 28 wickets. While he hasn’t set the league on fire, his winning skills are undeniable.
Sam Curran (England)
The whole world now knows the true worth of this young dynamo. Curran was T20 Worlds Player of the Series and Player of the Final in the tournament and was perhaps the most important cog as England won thier second title. Since he was playing for CSK in the league, the franchise may try to get him back. However, this talented all-rounder must have tough competition ahead of the mega auction, which could make him a millionaire.
Harry Brooke (England):
Harry Brooke is one of Britain’s greatest finds of the year. He showed his ability to hit under pressure in the Australia T20 World Cup final and was a true hitter in all matches. He’s a must-have for any team looking to strengthen their midrange.
