India-Pakistan Test at the MCG – MCC and Victoria government show interest

The Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) and Victoria Government, Australia are working on the possibility of hosting a match between India and Pakistan. Each of the groups hasn’t competed against each other at intervals the longest format of the game since 2007. Both Authorized bodies of Australia are so keen for this demanding event to happen in the middle end of the year like October.

Since India hosted Pakistan throughout a bilateral restricted overs series in 2013 the try has entirely competed against one another at 20- and 50-overs tourneys and so the Asia Cup.

The last time they met was at the Twenty20 World Cup in Oct this year. Wherever over 90,000 fans heaped into the Melbourne Cricket Ground to watch India win a last-ball thriller.

MCC Chief government Stuart Fox, the atmosphere at that match showed there would be no drawback filling the venue. It’s encouraging to see the series between the two.

“The atmosphere for that game, I’ve never felt one thing like it,” Fox told station SEN. “The noise once every ball was phenomenal. Three (tests) throughout a row would be pretty at the MCG, you’d fill it each time.

“We’ve taken that up with Cricket Australia. I do grasp the (Victoria) government as well. It’s hugely refined from what I’ll understand, amongst a very busy schedule. Therefore, I feel that’s all told likelihood the larger challenge.”

Fox said he hoped Cricket Australia would keep pushing the proposal with the International Cricket Council, the game’s international governing body.

“When you’re doing see a variety of the stadiums around the world unoccupied. I feel it’d be much better to have a hand in that atmosphere and celebrate the sport with full houses.” Fox added.
