Andy Murray’s Pledge of Relief to Ukraine

Former world darling Andy Murray same Thursday his pledge to gift all his season’s prizes to humanitarian relief in Ukraine webbed US$630,000 (RM2.7 million).

Three-time major winner Murray decided in December that his on-court earnings in 2022 would be given to United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund. It will be for Ukraine following the Russian invasion.

“Shortly once I decided that from Indian Wells onwards. I might donate my prize money for the remainder of the season to UNICEF’s humanitarian response. — The ultimate total was simply over US$630,000.”

Russian players, in addition to those from ally Belarus, were prohibited from suburban areas this year.

However, they’re allowed to stay taking part in ATP and WTA tournaments though not beneath their national flags.
